Kevin Styers

Kevin Styers started working for NEON in 2017 as a seasonal botanist in the Great Lakes Domain (D05) and returned in 2018 to work as a seasonal botanist in Colorado (D10/13). After these two field seasons, Kevin was promoted to the tower technician position at D10/13 in late 2018 where he maintained four meteorological towers. Kevin is currently a Data Scientist working with the Terrestrial Instrumentation System (TIS) team where he applies his previous NEON field experience to continually develop and maintain applications that improve NEON's TIS data quality. This includes work such as automated diagnostic eddy covariance reports, dashboards, sensor health alerts, data quality investigations, and sensor obsolescence analysis. Kevin earned his B.S. in Environmental Science from George Mason University in 2018.
